Average alloy wheel repair price

Featured Replies

My wheels are in tatters! Corrosion and paint flaking off. Deffo in need of an acid strip.

How much would one expect to pay per wheel?

£50-60 I'd imagine.

Some places charge more or less for wheel size and how bad the damage.

My local place that I'm planning to use after seeing some top work from them are in the region of £65 a wheel.

Good to know. I'm on the lookout for recommendations in the Shropshire/Hereford area.

Fancy a colour change too, that's the next decision

Have a look at midlands car care in Walsall, they are machine polishing my car in a few weeks, they do a one day turn around for £200, full acid strip n respray, do a cracking job

I've a few friends and work colleagues who have used these guys recently and are well worth the money

Might depend if they're expected to remove and refit tyres. In any case be sure you're comparing apples with apples when it comes to such things. Probably one reason a lot of tyre places have deals with wheel repair/refurb companies.

Just had my wheels refurbished at Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes.

They did a superb job, including removing a slight buckle.

They have agents around the country.  I took my car to the factory, left it there and picked it up when done.

I went for a mix of 50% anthracite and 50% sparkle silver.

I would go with these guys, i'm booked with them for next month

Still trying to decide which colour though!

The dark smoke or whatever it's called looks good, have you added them on Facebook

I was considering that new deep purple but not sure if it will look good on the Fabia alloys

I have used The Wheel Specialist as they are more local to me; but even they

recommended Pristine Wheels in MK for any polished finish or diamond cut rims.

Seemingly they are very good and will warrant the refurb fully for 12 months on tricky finishes mentioned above.

Is that the smgoing price for you guys :o. I had a mate take my tyres off and new ones on for 20 quid and got my alloys powdercoated for £100 and was an amazing job

Seems that Midlands car care are the best "close" to me!

Cheers guys

Is Burton onTrent too far from you?

A Chap here at work had a Merc AMG wheel welded and refinished by a tyre place for £40 plus the tyre of course.

There are places that charge as low as £20 per wheel, but that's only if you take the wheels to them without any tyres

If they have tyres on then it's £30 per wheel

Want a one day drive in service where you drop your car off with them in the morning and collect in the afternoon, it's nearly £50 per wheel

My mate recently had his Corsa VXR wheels refurbished and sprayed by this company as well as having the car detailed too. They did an absolutely fantastic job, looks the part and only cost £200!

Defo recommend them

City Powder Coaters in Brum somewhere.

Heard a few good things about them.

Think it's £80 for 4 wheels.

That's who I was taking about in my previous post, not everybody has spare wheels to use while they get refurbed though, they charge around £50 per wheel for a drive in service
