Tdi engine change ? Engine codes

Featured Replies

Hi guys,my engine in my elegance 110 asv has decided that it no longer wants to live and well now i need a replacement, i can get my hands on a ahf engine block which is a 110 aswell but from a older golf 98, but i have a scrap octavia with an alh engine which is a 90 so i'am just wondering if i strip my block on my asv and stick everything to the ahf would it work, or could i get away with sticking a alh engine in ? need some help and need to know the differences as i know they are all the same block.

Thanks!

i guess this is going to be a dead thread soon :(

I'll give it bump, to keep it near the top of the pile, but honestly, cant help as i havnt ever looked into that detail on our cars...

The two are the same except that the ASV has oil cooled pistons, different injectors and different ECU Software to match.

seems it would be more hastle than it's worth sticking a alh lump in as i would have to swap the ecu and everything else
