Personally I wouldn't look so close at oil. As long as it is 507.00 and 5/30 as specced for the car I wouldn't bother what goes in or what it does.

I use the same Q8 5/30 V long life on the Fabia VRS petrol and it went in the diesel Yeti as a top up, not sure what Skoda use on the servicing though. Yeti got changed every 20k and the Fabia gets changed every year, so about 3k.

All seems good after 113k in the Yeti and 9k on the Fabia

you change the oil in Yeti at 20k?

Yes, long life servicing, 20k is the normal change, somewhere within that 20k a half litre top up is usually necessary, Yeti has done 113k in 30 months and runs fine.

Is this not normal? 20k oil change intervals..
