Rear axle

Featured Replies

I've had a little accident in my vrs and require a new rear axle;

My question is... Can you buy a new rear axle anywhere online?

And is the vrs the same as the other models.. I know I'd need to swap hubs over to get rear disks, but other than that are they the same??

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks

The rear axle on the vRS is the same as other mk1 Fabia with rear discs.

Might be easier than swapping everything over.

I recently had a similar experiance and the first one i sourced looked streight and true but when i reassembled i found it was out. The best thing to do is find a scrqp yard localy that is breaking a front impact damage only and go and see it oh take a brake disk and carrier to check if the trailing arms are true. If you look on fleebay for pictures of cars being broken then it will make it easier to source in my experiance. hope you get it sorted and back on the road soon.

Agreed, it's unlikely you'll see anything wrong until assembled with wheels or it won't bolt up straight. At which point it's return for a refund. I've done this (spin into kerb backwards and bent the axle) on a previous car, axle from a scrappy went straight on.
