Guy I own a Black skoda octavia 1.9 TDI. I face a big problem in my car which is when I put the key to ignition my car beep normally, and clears all the informations like check engine, heating, ABS, airbags, etc but it doesn't starts even If I tak long self, I have to open hood nd hook a cable from battery terimal to the glow plugs nd wait for 30sec and then only it starts. What might be wrong with my car and why I need to keep it for 30sec. When I first got the car I normally used to wait for the beep I and a normal self. Are then any possibility of engine faults? Like diesel injectors aren't able the diesel properly. When I start the car the temp is almost 10 degrees

you'll just have to work thro' the glow circuit fuse relay and timer I'd start with the relay

I'd go with Cheshire cat on this, it does sound like the glow plug circuit, probably the relay is faulty or the fuse blown as the plugs themselves are fine, you know that as they work when you short circuit the system. All diesels need a bit of pre-heating before start up, even modern ones.

I also checked all the relays and fuse. Everything is working fine, timer beeps well can it be its postive might be damaged? Or any fault in ecu?
