custom suede headliner

Featured Replies

hey guys, has anyone tried to install gray suede on the headliner?

Does anyone know the rough dimensions of our headliner?

Where I had the car parked in Greece there was HUGE humidity even during summer and the headliner in my dad's Fabia and my Octavia has actually come off (I will try to get a picture).  So I thought I take it completely off, then apply a few hands of primer and then just apply the new suede.  At some point I might do the same for the door cards too.  Any thoughts?

easter came early for this thread.  Anyone knows how hard is it to remove the headliner? Is it a simple job for someone doing it first time or there is something to be careful with?

Suede headlining? Suede? You'll be playing Barry White tracks on the stereo soon as well :D

I removed my headlining to bin it and wasn't careful but you'll need to remove a,b,c pillar trims, rear trim near tailgate opening, grab handles, visors, interior light etc and then take it out via the boot,do some research on the best glue to use as a lot of people who've re trimmed headlinings find that some glues don't last well and it's can start to sag and if the material you use is quite thin then be careful not apply the fabric when the glue is quite wet as it can soak into the fabric and you'll end up with glue stains.
