Amundsen radio - start volume zero?

Featured Replies

We've just taken our lovely new Rio Red estate to Holland and back and it was a joy to drive. However, certain aspects of the infotainment and other electronics drove us bonkers. This is one of the worst:

You get into the car, and switch on the infotainment - you actually just want to use the satnav, you don't want the radio, anyway it's in Dutch and I don't speak Dutch, but mostly I just want peace and quiet to concentrate on the unfamiliar road. EVERY TIME the panel is switched on, the radio starts too. I cannot find any setting to alter this - I've set the start volume at 5, which is apparently the lowest (why?) but that is still distracting. I have to deliberately press the radio button, then reduce the volume to zero, then go back to the navigation.

This is beyond annoying. Can anyone help?

As a workaround I think  you might select a non-active media source, for instance AUX?

Yep select Aux and no sound.
