Removed Rub Strips & Found Lots Of Little Holes

Featured Replies

Pretty my as the title suggests really. Removed my rub strips todays and found 100's of tiny pin holes. Has anyone else has this problem. They look worse because their now full of polish hahaha

looks like the lacquer has reacted on the paintwork where the rub strips been sat, or the paint has come off with the rub strip. could try flating it down and polishing it up but you may need to paint it

It's in the gap between the 2 stips of glue that why im stumped. If im honest the entire paintwork on the car is rubbish, its super soft. Bird pop etches in within minutes.

moisture has got trapped then and made it react.

Won't help if those holes are fairly deep.....

Gonna need spraying. My old Fabia I was scared of removing them so just got them colour coded instead

Quick, put the rub strips back on!

Well ain't that a bitch. I won't dare remove mine because I know from my luck it will have a nasty surprise under there

Not had the balls to do this yet either.. :peek:

I was considering removing mine the other day. I've had second thoughts

Lol **** happens i suppose. I think mine was painted on an off day anyway lol. The paint is SUPER soft. Dont forget the holes look worse because their full of Black Hole polish so appear more white than normal. You wouldn't be able to tell unless they were pointed out. You can notice them from about 1 ft away. Their on all 4 doors aswell. I didnt pull the stripps of either lol

She's on original paint all round anyway. There loads of little stone chips on her and a couple of ethings from bitd poop so a respray aint the end of the world. Im not botherd i was asking because it was unusual to see. Like i said its not even where the glue was brcause its inbetween the 2 glue strips.
