Damn Kerb!

Featured Replies

Went into work today to do a favour for a colleague. I now wish i hadn't! Whilst parking my Furby VRS i scuffed the underside of the front spoiler (just in front of the driver's side wheel) on a high kerb! Made quite a racket when i did it and several people in the car park looked round. Felt a bit like a waiter who drops a tray in a resteraunt.

On inspection the impact has ripped the plastic coating completely off a long thin bit of the underside of the front spoiler, does anybody know if i have to get this treated in anyway or will it be ok left as it is?

If I'm understanding you right, it's just the plastic of the front spoiler - don't worry about it.

I'm sure quite a few of the dropped mob'll have done the same several times (sumps aside  )

I work to the simple rule,

If its plastic it won't rust :)

If you cannot really see it its ok & it still wont rust

If its metal, or its metal and you can't see it get it sorted :)

Hope this helps.

I have done my front bumper underside a couple of times on Kerbs buger the high ones with the low cars :)

I'm obviously not alone then! I just feel so stupid to have done it.

I've managed to crunch the front splitter on my Octy vRS twice now (and its not been lowered) :o

I've also had altercations in a multi-storey car park with ramps which are too steep - front splitter hit the sodding ground :finger: (bunch of idiots who designed this car park should be shot IMHO ;) )
