Hi there, i bought leather handbrake from Fabia VRS both with lever. I have old one with plastic cover and a black button on top of lever. This one has chrome button and i want to change it complete as it looks way better.

I have one question, how to secure leather to lever and make it not to move when i fit it to car. Now it can be moved with moderate effort. How do they came originally secured, glued or?

Probably need to remove the centre console then go from there see how it's fixed in

Iv now replyed to you pm .. it pushes on. No glue.

i left it loose because its easier to fit the leather last after fitting the metal bit + fitting the centre console back. This also prevents you scratching the leather

Yeah but it comes off rather easy. I tried to make my old one to move and there isn't a chance. There is one plastic edge on the inner side of cover which is suppose to hold it in place when it click but it looks eaten. :(

Nothing is holding cover so i have to think about something else.

There is a plastic lug. On the leather ones there os no way of releasing it without pulling hard.

on the plastic ones you use a 90° pic or small flat blade screwdriver to release it.

You have to push it back on with force to get it to click back on
