Today I part ex'd my 56plate octavia vrs against a 2010 insignia 2.0cdti (160) ecoflex due to buying a house and a larger commute.

Ollie (my vrs) has given me 2 1/2 years of big grin motoring and hardly skipped a beat and im gonna miss him! Even told the dealership i want to vet his new owners haha.

Cheers briskoda for all your advice!! Im not gonna go anywhere though this forum is the best by far! Can you have a brisky sticker on a vauxhall or is that blasphemy? Haha

No I'm sorry, us true briskodians will never ever ever let you put a briskoda sticker on a vauxhall . You'll be back though when you start to miss your skoda :p

Nah i wanted to p/x as selling would take a while and would be a pain in the arse with my job.

yeah they will try but dont they would get much more as a few garages were in the same ballpark for p/x.

Same here actually. I had one for a few weeks as a courtesy car after my Fabia vRS got written off, quite liked it.

Day two of owning insignia: going well not even used to driving it and getting over 50mpg (indicated) to and from work. Still pokey enough to overtake on country roads.

cant stop comparing it to my vrs though, not just performance wise but in little things like there isnt a pen holder and there isnt enough cubby holes eg. The slot in the side of the octy seat housed my phone and wallet perfectly, now in turmoil as i have nowhere decent to put them!

But apart from that all good :-) i like the personalised setting with the key which gives you seat position, radio station, heating option as soon as you open it with your key as opposed to swmbo's key
