Squeaky drivers seat.

Featured Replies

Just started this last few weeks, and it's really starting to get on my wick now.

Every movement of my back and bum  brings it on.

Nothing feels broken however.

Is this a known problem related to age/wear and tear p'raps? (car that is, not me).

Couldn't find owt in a search.

I have the same squeek, mine is a 55plate, so a similar age. I noticed mine first after an MOT not saying they are related but it feels internal like something loosened during a test. Not sure if/how they test seats. Yes agreed, it very annoying!

Try a small adjustment in seat height

Try a small adjustment in seat height

Done that. Up down back forward, you name it, no difference.

Seat out this weekend I thinks for closer inspection.

Can't be doing with it like it is.

I wondering if there might be a crack in the frame tbh.

Sorted the problem for me

Most most excellent.

I did do a search as i felt this must be a common problem, but alas, i must have used the wrong words in the search box to bring that thread up.

Tar very muchly.

I've read the fiirst page.

Do I need to read the other two, or is the cure as is stated on page 1?
