Anyone after a premium car wax?

Featured Replies

The owner of Obsession Wax appears to have gone mad and is selling off his collection in a two part sale. :D

For anyone wanting to get a high end wax but not pay full price, this is looking pretty darn good.

Who cares... you may not be able to stop properly resulting in a crash, but at least you'll look lovely and shiny when you do!

More wax than Madame Tussauds :giggle:

ps: corrected that for you

LOL....Perhaps

I was tempted for the zymol. :(

What happened to Lent sparkly?!

I have some Zymol Titanium ...nice soft wax...easy to use and nice reflections. A good summer wax

Similar to Swissvax

You must have a big stash of wax Chris? As I'm sure this wasn't mentioned in a previous count you made.

:)

Mmm..I thought I did

Don't know where the list is now though

I would avoid the Zymol based on my experiences Carl.... not worth the money.

Applied to a freshly polished car and within 3 days bird poo (removed as soon as found) had caused damage.

Limited protection i fear; so i moved to sealants mainly topped with concours wax.

Thanks for the advice ste, it does seem a lot of money to justify really.

I was very impressed with the Vic's concours I got from you. ;)

I should stay away from sale threads :(

I'm sure it has its place Carl - but i wasnt impressed and glad it wasnt my money spent.

So yes - changed strategy and got reliable sealant on after last polish and it protects longer.

Then easily topped up with Vic's Concours, or R222 Concours and car looks awesome!

I think the Vic's concours is the most pleasant wax aplication I've ever done so far, it went on so easy and buffed perfectly.

And when when it was done it was silky smooth to touch, A really nice wax. Would recommend to anyone.

I've got 8 pots of wax still untried and unopened 4 of them are dodo juice. I need to stop buying and start trying.

With Sonax as a topper...I cant see me reapplying any wax or sealer in the near future..not on my car anyway

So your plan is just to keep using it as a QD then Chris and really keep ontop of it? I do have to admit sonax is the most impressive product I've used on a car in a long long time.

Feel a bit gutted really because the week before I bought 5 litres of sonax BSD I had bought some CG V7 which is a similar product just not as good.

So that won't be getting used.

Very pleased with the purchase ste, I thought it was that good it made me wonder why you didn't use much?

That's my intention. Yes

This should be my approach really with not being able to physically do much on the car these days.

I may have to follow suite.
