Has my car got sports suspension or is it just the 17's ?

As mentioned before Lee, my car has 2UA, which is standard Elegance suspension, so at least I know it should have built with 'normal' suspension, hopefully :)

UK NSL 60 mph.

Motorways, Dual Carriageways 70 mph

Even a £7,500 new car on ECO tyres can get around corners safely @ NSL or above.

Surely a 140 MPH + car in the UK can corner safely at half that on 17 or 16" rims and tyres of the correct Speed & Load rating.

So pushing on and driving hard is surely all sorted just by the car you drive,

Comfort can mean changing tyres or Springs/Dampers until you are happy.

Unless you have owned a car from new,

forget what Code Stickers & Service Manuals say as to what Suspension the car left the Factory with.

The new owner might have changed springs for Comfort, or Sportyness, or to tow a caravan.

People do modify cars, even nearly new ones.

I remember seeing forums on cars where people do that.

I have owned the car from new :)

I maybe missed it,

so how many miles has it covered and what tyre pressures do you run?

EDIT,

is that 139,000 miles.

So maybe a Suspension freshen up is in order.

What 17" tyres (Brand) are on now and at what pressure?

?? Have the roads you drive really got that much worse over 139,000 miles,

or is it they have killed your springs and dampers over 139,000 miles,

and a new set and a more comfortable set might be in order.

Skoda build down to a price, even on the top models.

Part Quality is somewhat wanting.

no worries, the car has just clocked 139K miles and the 17's are at 30psi
