Skoda fabia 2010 se

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been looking for a fabia now for a while.

My dad's mechanic friend has just got hold of a fabia 2010 se with 16000 on the clock. 1.2 petrol.

I think I'm going to have it as I am pretty desperate for a car now but he doesn't get it until next week.

I was just wondering if anybody knows what the se comes with? Like any extras? Does it have the maxidot computer?

Also what about the head unit can I hook my phone up to it?

Cheers

I'm presuming the 2010 se will be the same as my 2013 se. They were facelifted in 2010.

Extras over the S, you get:

Colour coded door handles

-Electric and heated door mirrors.

-15" alloy wheels.

-Height adjustable driver and passenger seats (not sure if thats on S or not)

-projector headlights (the S has h4 reflectors)

-a smaller aerial

There may be more but im just thinking off the top of my head here. Have a look on the skoda website and configure one. It tells you what extras you get on each model :).

It has the swing radio with a simple 3.5mm phono aux input. This can be used to play music off most devices. However bluetooth and MDI is an optional extra on the SE.

youll be getting the standard dash, not the maxidot. Theres only a few extras on the maxidot (inc analogue fuel and temp gauges). The standard still tells you outside temp, average mpg, current mpg, average speed etc etc. it just doesnt look as nice as the maxidot.

Hope this helps :)

Cool stuff cheers! This helps a lot!

This sounds like it will do me nicely, just gotta see the colour now, I've been told it is silvery blue, I'm assuming this will be denim blue. Does the alloys vary from car to car, which ones will I be getting if not?

Glad it helps :).

Car to car no, but year to year it might, I'm not sure. My 2013 se has the 15" Antares wheels on.

Its a nice little car to drive. Plenty smooth enough and comfy. I quite enjoy driving it for extended period :).

The colours nice if its the same as I'm thinking. A sort of lighting metallic blue. I like it :).

Cheers dude that helps a lot! It's going to be so good having a car again! Just need a list of things to do with it now lol

Once you start with that game you cant stop! Haha.

I started by changin glovebox, boot, all 3 interior, front sidelights and numberplate lights to LED's. Doesnt cost a stupid amount and looks far better IMO.

then put a 5000k hid kit in the dipped projector lense. The car looks much more classy for it i think :).

Yeah as soon as I've looked at the car lights are going on order! I did a lot of vinyl wrapping on my seat Ibiza, so going to do the grill, (don't like the chrome) and maybe the interior! They're what I'll be doing with the money I have ATM, then things will just get done as I go along. Probably go for fly eyes too but that depends on the colour of the car.

Sounds good :).

Have a look at the threads on here especially 32kofdata (i think thats his name) build thread. Some people have done some really nice things with theirs.

A lot of people do 'how to' guides on things like fitting the genuine skoda armrest, and fitting bluetooth to the swing. All sorts.

Just depends how far you wanna go ;).

I prefer to keep mine looking stock but a few extras to make it a little nicer. Nothing too serious haha.

Bluetooth could be first on my list. May have to look into the arm rest too, I suppose that will be a bit dear ATM. Being a skintight student and all lol

I'd have a drive round in the dark before doing anything like that, the headlights are terrible on low beam to start with without adding a black plastic to them.

I will probably change the bulbs first, that's what I did in my Ibiza to compensate for it.

On the se? The projector dips are brilliant with decent bulbs/hid kit in, with a seperate reflector lense for the high beam. Are you thinking of the blackpack DE module Outofthi5world?

The arm rest is about £140 if you fit it yourself. Its next on my list after iv paid my motorbike tax, insurance and mot this month aha.

I think I'll leave it as standard, I only drive at myth once a week and thats at 3 am on country roads so main beam is fine.

What bulbs do I need for all these? Fancy getting them ordered and don't pick up car for a week so can't check what I need.

If youve got the same headlights as me, the silver projector dip is h7 and the reflector high is also h7.

The 2 interior map lights are w5w (501) the same as the front side lights.

The main interior light is a 42mm festoon type as far as i remember (check that length mate. Im not 100%)

And the numberplate lights are 36mm festoon type

Oh and the boot and glove box use w5w bulbs. However because the housing is small and its a strange kind of holder.. I found the ones linked below were the only which fit properly.

I used that website because of the high quality bulbs. Although they arent the cheapest.

Also. I cant see what year your fabia is, if its an older one it might have a different type of numberplate light, so the bulb might be a different length.

Mine are the clip in ones (no screws) and the 36mm festoon linked fitted in. It isnt in straight but you cant tell when theyre back in place, and gives a good amount of light
