My '05 vRS Fab - Initial Thoughts

Featured Replies

Must remember that th epoint of this car is to save money though - so I can help family and pay off debts quicker.

So I'll go a certain way' date=' but not as far as I perhaps otherwise might...[/quote']

Pah

if you did 24000 miles per year in the scoob, that's about 2000 miles a month.

Comparing fabia with Scoob, If scoob was 20mpg and furby is 50, that's 30mpg difference, or based on 2000 miles, 67 gallons.

67 gallons or 250 litres at 95ppl (taking average price of SUL and diesel) equates to over

I could be suffering from alzheimers but I'm sure scooby chris said that the strut brace didnt make that much difference in his opinion - thats what he said when he took it off... maybe he could chime in ;)

Yep, in my very humble opinion, I wouldn't bother with the strut brace - more for looks than handling ;) Coupled with a lower one it would probably be more worthwhile, but I'd happily just stick with the Eibach springs and dampers which did make a significant difference :D

oh lads lads.....

Xav indeed I am tempted, and its more like 30000 miles a year btw so the savings are even more. But my Grandma is now out of hospital and needing help with paying for the care visits so sometimes you gots to put things in perspective.

But yeh no doubt it'll happen - but might as well do it in stages - appreciate each mod, else in 3 months i'll be talking engine transplants :D

On a serious note. I know what costs are involved in looking after the old. Dad has to fork out
