Handbrake cover on elegance

Featured Replies

Hi

Had my pre registered elegance for two weeks, only issue is fake leather handbrake cover seems to be loose.

ie rear moves upa nd down few millimetres meaning when put handbrake on and off the cover moves slightly.

Is this a common issue and does it need a lot of taking apart to fix, ie could it cause more squeeks getting dealet to fix than leave alone ?

Mine's a March 2013 Elegance and I noted exactly the same issue. I mentioned it to the 'workshop controller' at my dealer, who said it's like that on them all and not regarded as a problem.

By the way, is it really faux leather?

1.6 TDI SE May 2013 reg  can't say I have noticed this on mine

Your leather-covered handbrake lever casing doesn't move at all then Mark?

not that I have noticed.  No it can't Iwould have noticed this very soon after purchase.

It sounds like some do and some don't!
