Can I put a complete bkc engine in to my car which has a bxe block?

No idea.

A search to find out what vehicles each code was fitted to may give enough info to make an informed choice.

Just scanning through google, there are several mentions of skodas with BKC engines. The differences between codes can be a bit esoteric.

Fitting a BKC in place of a BXE has been done before, not sure as to the specific car this was on, but don't think it matters - see post 16 onwards:

Hi all,

Certainly sounds like this is the way to go, talked to a chap in Doncaster yesterday KJ auto clinic who offers this or something similar, effectively replacing the bxe block with an older more robust version from older engine and using the remains in the BXE to keep the ecu happy, just wish it wasn't 200 miles away!
