Can anyone advise or link me to a how to on removing the roof aerial please. Many thanks in advance

Which part, just the aerial or the base. The aerial is held on by an anti-theft barb, basically unscrew to the point that you can fold it down, at this point pull as hard as you can upwards and you should be able to overcome the ant-theft device. You will need to pull with a lot of force, but it should come away.

 

The base is far more complicated.

Right base,

 

Open tailgate

Remove plastic trim from the top of the opening, its held on by metal clips that may remain in the car body.

Loosen the side trims slightly.

Gently ease down the headlining

If you look between the lining and the roof, you will see a large nut and a connector.

Disconnect the wiring connector to the aerial

Get someone to hold the aerial base on the outside, then undo the nut.

 

Before refitting ensure area is clean of dirt, and also use a pair of pliers to remove the retained metal clips, and reattach these to the plastic trim.
