Hi there who is staying at the Premier Inn, Chippenham on Friday 25th April 2014 and what time are you aiming to get there?

 

I was thinking that it would be nice if we could have a evening meal together as being a newbie it would be nice to meet up with a few of you before the event.

They do a meal deal £22.95 for a 3-course meal, a drink and an eat as much as you like breakfast, although breakfast would depend on what time we need to get to Castle Coombe by

Seems breakfast is £7 or 8, from 7am.

Not sure when we'd aim for for getting there, but I'm sure we can work it out, we have time.

Combes minutes away from there so you'll have loads of time

I paid £29 for the night and £16.50 for x2 breakfasts, so not too bad. I'm staying in Bristol on the Saturday night, which is £61 for the night but thankfully i didn't pay for that.

I probably won't be up too early. Will get to Combe with time to get sound checked and maybe a little walk round before the first session.

I think I'm booked in, but won't be arriving early.

 

Having to miss most of Saturday with the family I won't be setting off until the children go to bed on the Friday.

So will probably get there around 10pm.

In short. Nope. I'm utilizing my staff benefits programme and booking into The Cheltenham Chase for two nights.

Thought it was closer to Combe so still an hours drive but plenty cheap so all good.

you just reminded me that I have points with IHG Rewards from booking with them at work so will be looking for a Crowne Plaza, or more likely Holiday Inn nearby.

 

Should be down in good time though on Fri, so happy to trundle over to meet for a swift half of ale if there's a gathering.

Looks like food is served until 11pm on Friday night and Breakfast starts at 7am on Saturday morning.

 

So I'll probably get an evening meal there and go for a 7am breakfast in the morning and leave at 8am to go to Castle Coombe as Jason has advised in another thread that we should be on-site for 9am.

I don't think i'll be at Combe by 9am, i'll probably be having breakfast at that time/

 

I'm on track anyway, so arriving later and not being blocked in will be a bonus.

I'll be there, hoping to book 1/2 a day off work on the 25th to save me the hassle of hitting traffic

I think the first session might be earlier than you think.  I actually forget which two slots we have now.  have a vague memory its earlier in the day than last time, possibly 10.30am and 11.30am.  Hoping to have no delays like usually happens with not many sessions before us.

Is there not some kind of mass breakfast meet anyway? Im having to drive down sat morning. And then drive back at night :( next one I go to ill be staying overnight. (If I didnt have a passenger id sleep in car

I am in the PI, I also got the £29 cheap deal, should be arriving fairly handy in time for a pie and a pint at least.

 

@Sparkly, what time are you setting off?  I could follow you down as I will be in Leeds on the Friday morning.

I think we're 10:45 and 11:45 but i can always adjust my timings if we're earlier. I'm just predicting how difficult it will be to wake up SWMBO!!
