Have I got variable boot floor?

Featured Replies

Bit of a wierd one.  I managed to find a 18" space saver in the local scrappy and so I thought I'd put in in on the weekend.  While I was fitting it I had to work out how to release the boot floor.  At one point I managed to "collapse" the floor, or at least to lower it to the level of the cover for the spare wheel.

So my question is do I have a variable boot floor?  Reason for the question is that I thought it was on option, and I didn't order it!!  Pic attached.

Thanks for the quick response.

Am I right in thinking this was an option?  Or is it standard in the vRS now?

Nope it's defo an option.

It's £150 and strangely the current brochure says it's not available with Canton which I see you have....

EDIT:  Double post

Slightly off topic but do you have the toolkit that sits in the wheel and contains the jack etc etc?

If you didn't get the spare from a the factory I don't think you'll have any of the tools - just the gunk and compressor. I could be wrong though.

That aside, nice work getting the VBF free!

It is your car eh? The dealer hasn't given you someone elses??  :giggle:

The configurator still lets you spec them together, so long as you pick the right Canton.

Also, when you select the vRS on the model intro screen it lists the following highlights...

Standard Equipment includes (over SE):

- 18" ‘Gemini’ anthracite alloys

- Sports suspension

- Cornering fog lights with darkened surround

How long has it been out in the UK without the cornering foglights now???

I bought the insert with the jack and tools from Skoda.  It looks like it's for the 16" full size spare but I think it has everything I need and it also provides support for the lower floor.

The car has every option I asked for, and it would appear some I didn't.  Now why couldn't it have had cruise or the powered boot!!  Maybe it has and I just haven't noticed yet.
