Rear Parking Sensor Template

Featured Replies

Hi Peeps

Does any body know if there is a template available for drilling the holes for rear parking sensors on an Mk1 Octy Est please? I have the sensors and a new bumper (after the wife managed to reverse into a wall and wreck the one on the car now). I am also after the wiring loom and speaker for the parking sensors, as thats all I need to install them. So if any body can help I would be very greatful.

Many Thanks for reading.

Think the markings are on the inside of the bumper they're a bit faint but if you rub some chalk on them they become more obvious.

Hi

All I can see on the back of the bumper is a line going from one side to the other horizontaly then vertical lines one in the middle with Y0 then going outward with Y200, Y400 and Y600. I presume you drill the hoes at Y200 and Y600 intersections?

Cheers

Think so just gauge it, putting masking tape on the outside of the bumper and mark with a felt tip see if it looks right and drill.

Be aware of the metal crash beam behind the bumper. If using the factory marks the beam shouldn't be an issue.

Done mine today, dimensions were spot on!

I drilled mine yesterday using the marks on the rear of the bumper and they worked out fine. Thanks to every one for the info.
