Thanks snow_muncher, arx engine code

Do you know how your transfer box has failed  - ie one pto or both trashed ?

same dogbone on all engines, only exception is AMD

Pto absolutely destroyed all the casing has gone, it was when I pulled of very hard in 1st

I think the Mk4 Golf R32 has an uprated dogbone mount.

engine code?

The engine codes for the R32 are BFH and BML I think.

The partnumber for a dogbone mount for an R32 with a 6 speed auto box is 1J0 199 851 AA which is the same as the 5 speed mount on a vRS, 4x4's and other 1.8 turbo Octavia's.  The dogbone mount for a 6 speed manual is 1J0 199 851 AM on the R32, whether it has up-rated bushes I don't know.

Thanks for you help lads, I think it's all due to the dog bone mount, too much movement in the engine causing the pto to rip apart really

Thnaks

tbh, can't see it being the cause myself

The prop is surprisingly flexible
