Coil overs on fabia vrs

Featured Replies

hi guys when i purchased my fabia it came with adjustable coilovers ( unfortunatly i dont know the make ) the car is very low ( i dont know how low it is tbh) when driving i used to get a faint knocking noise, ive been to a few mechanics and they believed it was my drop links, i was also made aware at this point that as my car is lowerd i needed small drop links. so i purchased adjustable links and had these fitted, the faint nosie was still there, i was then told my front wish bone rear bushes needed changing, so i had these changed along side with the ball joints on both sides.

believe it or not the faint nosie was still there, this noise is only there when im driving slow but when im driving at some speed i cant hear it. so the other day i was at this mechanics yard with my seat leon and i asked about my fabia and he said that my drop links needed shortning as they might be too big, so i gave him my car and he shortened the links, but this made the nosie louder and more noticable, the noise is now like something is lose on both ends of the car, naturally i went back to the mechanic and he said ill just put them to the normal size and i watched him adjust the links, at this point i was praying that the nosie is gone but infact the nosie is till there same as when they was shortened.

this is really frustrating me now, can anoyone make sense on whats going on.

Have you tried asking the same question in the Fabia section.

There might be quicker responses there.
