Keyless Locking wont fold mirrors

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 L&K 170 4x4 model.    As with all Supurbs if I hold the fob lock button the mirrors fold, however with keyless the keys are buried in a pocket.  I want to fold the mirrors with the keyless locking of touching the door handle.  Is there a VCDS code for this?

You help is appreciated

Thanks   Nigel

I think the VAG folks have kept that option for Audi branded cars only. There was a post somewhere on the forum here saying what needed to be changed to enable this though.

I found the post, they say hold the handle for 5 sec and it is done - doesnt work on mine :(

The manual for the car says to cover the outer sensor on the handle with your finger for a few seconds after closing the door to fold the mirrors in and close the windows. I don't have the KESSY system so I can't check. The mirrors don't fold out when I hold the unlock button on the key though - the sunroof and windows open though. I misread your initial post too - thought you wanted the mirrors to fold automatically every time the car was locked.

Doesn't work on mine and I tried it a few times.  Not bothered as I find KESSY hit and miss and end up using the fob half the time!  Also don't think the mirrors would re-open again with the fob - are they supposed to as I've never seen that

On some Peugeots the mirrors can be set to fold and unfold on locking and unlocking. This is the option I was talking about that AFAIK Audi have and the rest of the VAG cars don't.

If for example you have a parking space right against a wall on the passenger side and fold the mirrors in so the car fits, having them unfold when you unlock the car would be bad, but I was expecting that holding down the unlock button might work. Good to hear that this is normal for a Superb though. I was messing with this last night after parking the car, so I'll be interested to see if they unfold when I start the car this evening.

I'd be a little worried if KESSY is hit and miss though - is there dirt on the sensors? Do you work as a radiologist and wear the lead apron home as well, blocking the signal from/to the key :P ?

They should unfold when you start the car alright (except if you put the internal door controller in the fold position and then they would fold back in again).  I notice it is usually wet if KESSY fails to work but could be dirt as you say.  I'll get it checked out next time I'm in the garage.  I'm not too pushed about it though
