Octavia MKII FL Vrs Lower grill.

Featured Replies

Cleaned Ambrosia today and I've noticed I've a couple of Stone hits on the Air Con Radiator. I think the Rad is ok as the Air Con seems to be working. Thinking of removing the lower grill and fitting some fine mesh on the inside to try and stop stuff hitting the rad

Would this affect the cooling/air flow if I fitted the Mesh?

Your thoughts please

Nah. I fitted some mesh behind the grille after replacing my condenser after stone damage and I haven't seen any problems (higher running temp etc...)

Does the grill just pull out, from the top/bottom or just a good tug..........will I break it???

I left the grille in place (I removed the bumper) and bought metal wire mesh and cut/moulded it to fit around the grille/bumper from the back and used tiger seal to keep it in place.
