What are seat surgeon seats worth?

Featured Replies

Thinking about putting mine back to a near standard state as I'm in 2 minds wether to sell it and get something more of a family car. Saw Dan asking for £250 + vRS seats and just wondered what my seat surgeon seats and arm rest would be worth realistically with some vRS seats traded in too or would they be a potential deal maker when it comes to selling? Having said that it would be easier to trade it in but I doubt the seats would be a benefit on a trade in so I'd be better off having standard seats in if i go down that route.

Seems everyone is putting back to standard and selling up  :(  :(

Id give ya £300 plus my seats (which are average condition. Nothing special.

But Im a strapped for cash (All the time).

No doubt someone would pay more probs £500+.

I can't see a dealer giving you that extra for having leather. But ya never know.

Sad times Kyle. I feel your pain! I'm in the process of putting back to standard myself. Too many really young lads are starting to get hold of these cars now, which has tipped it over the edge for me...

I've got the very (very!) rare factory leather in mine with red piping, and I had the same thoughts as you. They would make the car easier to sell privately that's for sure, and probably worth a few ££ on top of the usual price. However, I've decided to sell the seats separately and put standards in before I sell the car. Not to mention the fact that I've been teasing Dan with these seats for an eternity now ha ha!

I'd say someone would probably pay £400 plus their standard seats to be honest, as long as they're in really good condition.

I part ex'd my standard vrs seats and cash for my seat surgeons leathers. . .I payed 550 plus standard vrs seats. . Bearing in mind the leathers had only been trimmed 4ish months if that. .

If there in good nick and been well looked after id say 450+vrs seats in part ex any day of the week. .

People always seem to want leather interiors so I wunt see them being hard to get rid of.

You could sling them on ebay and see what happens. Ive seen SS for fabia's go for silly money (both high and low). The last set a watched went for £360ish with all 4 door cards retrimmed aswell. But i've also seen them go for like £600. Its swings and round abouts i suppose.

They are in good condition, the passenger and rears are pretty untouched as is the arm rest and the only thing I'd say is the drivers base isn't as tight as the others as you can see in this pic.

I'll have a think about what to do then, didn't think they'd be worth that much to be fair. I still love the car but I do feel abit old to be driving around in it, it seems to be the new saxo :(

I would say £500 for SS seats in perfect condition with door cards. Bear in mind they are around £950 inc VAT

The bagginess on the drivers seat can be sorted by soaking the leather and allowing it to dry in place. The leather will shrink and pull tight. The armrest wasn't a seat surgeons retrim, it was one I had off ebay that looked a decent match and was done by me. It is a genuine skoda fabia mk2 armrest though. Just for info.

I'd expect around £400-£450 and some vrs cloth seats for a good deal as you don't have the trimmed doorcards aswell.

I'd say £500 ish personally. Does the fluffy cushion come included too?

Let me get this right... You're selling your car because your perception of who owns similar cars has changed?

There must be another reason? Seems a bit daft to me.  :giggle:

I will try doing this as it annoys me as this lets down the rest of the seats. I will have to get on youtube and see how its done. I thought the armrest was retrimmed as its such a good match, you did well getting that!!

The fluffy cushion could be negotiated on lol

My mrs is on at me to get something a bit bigger and more "family". She seems to of had enough of my done up cars and I don't think the fact there's about 4 or 5 in town all owned by young lads is helping my cause that's why I said its like the new saxo. I quite fancy a bora TDi but I'd be looking at a 02 plate for the same price as mine which is what puts me off, don't fancy going back in reg for the same money.

They do look really good which is why I always said I'd never sell but if it gets traded in they will be better off sold.

Well done to you for picking them  one of the door cards was damaged so I left the rest but after getting a quote for mine doing wish I'd took them now!! I try to look after all of the car even though it is my work car so it gets anything it needs and gets looked after the best I can. The passenger and rear seats very rarely get used unless we go a long distance on a family outing so they're like new.

In that case, why not look at a Rapid? I'm sure some of the stuff you have on the Fabia will transfer straight across too. As the Rapid's on a stretched Fabia platform, you could keep your seats then... same goes for a Toledo.

Kyle I'd take those seats off your hands. :D

If and when your ready let us know... EBay your best bet

Would it not be worth trying the scrappy again to see if they still have the door cards?? Long shot I know.

It was getting crushed the day after I took all the interior as everything else was off it. They'd removed the engine and box but left the pd160 on it so I relieved them of that too lol along with the cup holder at the side of the stereo, the stereo fascia strip and i'm sure I robbed some other stuff

Ahh ok fair enough. Didn't know how long scrappies would hold on to a motor.

I got these in July so I doubt they'd still have it. Keep going up to get a window motor but no luck :(
