On a facelift VRS with xenons.. which bulbs are the parking lights?

Featured Replies

My dealer says it could be them out.. but im not sure which they are? Are they the little bulbs above the xenons in the headlight unit?

Does anyone have a pic please? Never knew i had them? Apparently you put indicator on and turn off ignition... cant get to car at min so just wondering if its these giving a bulb out warning?

Thanks for any advise...

Mike

The DRL's are your parking lights, the little sidelight bulbs in the top of the lights don't work on the vRS as it uses the DRLs.

If I remember didn't someone wire them up so they did work

Was it one of our Australian members?

No idea but can't really see the need as the DRL's do a better job.

Thanks for that chaps...

So there is no other bulbs to check... need to get it onto diagnostics

cheers

Have you got a bulb failure warning?

If you have, corrosion on the numberplate bulb holder terminals has been known to cause it.

Well... Had them out, no rust, back in.. Still a lights warning light! It must be back though, I'm pretty sure the front xenons come the bolero..

Do the xenons do their little dance when you turn the ignition on?

Faulty load sensors will ping up a bulb warning.

Mine non vrs does come with the bulb and like said it's the parking light. The vrs uses bumper led.

Mine does like yours when it comes to using the signal stalk. Have used this several times as you know the parking lights on the side come on. Don't know what happens on the vrs models
