Hi Folks,

You might remember the problem I was having with excessive rusting on my exhaust backbox.  The car in question was 2011 Fabia with 18,500 miles. Here is some photos to remind you.....

So went to my local skoda dealer to find out about a warranty claim for the back box but all i got was a lot of teeth sucking and shoulder shrugging anyway i got it booked in and they allegedly done a "report" and took a picture. I didn't hear back for a while so i took matters into my  own hands and contacted Skoda customer services and lucky enough for me my case was taken up by a girl called Donna, I sent her a good informative email and the above photos. Well all i can say is she was like a dog with a bone. She contacted the skoda dealer in question and basically told them to fit a new exhaust through warranty the dealer told her they couldn't get an exhaust for my car because there was none in the main warehouse in the UK so Donna got one sorted and got it sent to the dealer, don't think the dealer was two pleased that she had stood on their toes so to speak. So every other day for about two weeks she contacted me to keep me up to date.So today i was booked in and got the exhaust fitted, must say Skoda customer service were great or maybe i just got a thoughtful employee...... Anyway Thanks Donna. Here's some pics to show you the new exhaust, there's some difference between new and old , Thanks for looking.

Not the experience I have had with suk . Good for you wasthere lots of flirting involved*

I had Charlotte she was amazing !

With my door seal I had great service, took it in and the mechanic came out, looked, took it in and adjusted the door there and then. But as soon as the car was 3 years old and I noticed the vinyl had started to peal off on the other side door the service manager or whatever he was (a different guy) didn't want to know "never saw that happen before" and advised that I just bought some touch up paint or something. Shoddy service if you ask me. Not even a mention of "I'll have a look at how much it would be to replace if you want" or anything like that. To much work is it?

Not that I'd bother ringing up SUK over it though.

Did she sort out your car issues too?

But this is what these dealers need ........SUK getting involved, because as far as i'm concerned when they do the dealers sit up a listen.

With my door seals i had no problems with dealer ear my work . They even sorted out the rear was wipe FOC. When I started looking at a remote boot release, I got great help from parts department at another dealer. Sadly, both have closed down and local one wants to charge high prices for anything .Parts - they don't want to sell. If I want a part I head off to TPS, where if the staff are not sure, they'll pop out and look at the part. Prize example was a flexible fuel pipe to fuel pump. The dealer wanted to change the whole system. TPS

system said "flexible fuel pipe -cuT to length " .
