My car has stopped blowing hot air today

 

The heat is set to 30 but it's fecking freezing!!

 

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Have you checked your water? Only car I have had that did this had split a hose and there wasn't enough water in the system to provide me with warm air.

Poss a stupid question, but is that the semi clear "bottle" in the top left hand corner?

 

If so, it's filled with red fluid to the max level

 

I only had it serviced about a week or two ago, so hopefully all the fluids are at the correct levels

Yep that is the correct bottle. That's the expansion tank. If that is full, how long has it been like this? Since the service? Did they change the coolant, could be an air lock in the system?

 

Other than that, could be outside temp sensor, what temp is it reading on your dash? Or possibly the interior temp sensor is playing up.

 

At least you know you don't have a coolant leak.

I had a similar problem but mine was blowing warm air continuously. After doing a bit of digging on here, I fixed the problem which turned out to be a sticky temperature control flap. The fix was dead easy & if you've got the same climate control system as I've got, give this a go.

With the ignition on but the engine NOT running, hold down the ECON and the bottom left of the four oblong buttons for airflow. The display changes and then you hear all the flaps calibrating.

Basically, pressing the two buttons causes the flap to cycle through its full range of movement as they can sometimes become jammed. When it does this, you'll hear a clicking noise from behind the vents.

That's not done anything except make the displays show a weird screen with FR in the corner.

The blowers are no longer blowing either (they stopped before trying the above)

In fact, the displays have gone back to normal, but still no blowers

When I hold econ and the circulate button I get an error code of 43f 05h

ny ideas what that means?
