Has anyone got one? Managed to give mine a bit of stick going round some country lanes today and I don't know wether it's my car or just that I'm not used to it yet but the engine sounds really throaty (deep) and at the 4K rev range it sounds like your thrashing the nuts off of it yet red line is 6-7k.

Is this normal? Having just previously come from an astra that was a lot quieter when in the higher rev ranges.

Hi Mike, Had mine for 14 months and love it, we seem to be in the minority and pleased to see someone else out there with one. And yes it sounds throaty when given a bit of stick, I've got an 6 speed auto and in sport mode will red line easily, worried me at first but now I've got used to it. Bob

I have mine with ~230k km and reving above 4k is quite usual - up to 6500 (red line), and is quite happy at high revs.

Yeah I mean it gave a decent pull and drove ok at the higher rev range it's just it was very loud compared to other cars I've owned or driven.
