Put a deposit on a car !

Featured Replies

I just put a deposit on a 1.6 DGS elegance with Xenons and park assist in petrol blue. It's a september 2013 car with 9000 miles on it belonging to Skoda UK so I havent actually seen it yet. The last time I bought a nearly new car I hadn't seen it either, that was a SAAB 9-5 Aero that belonged to SAAB UK.

Hopefully I will get it next weekend if they get it from Milton Keynes to York fast enough.

I'm exicted now.

9000m ex Skoda Uk quite possibly will have been a hire car. This should not be a problem but are you aware?

Or a vag group staff lease. You can't move in Crewe without seeing new VAG cars. The vast majority of Bentley staff take one and they are replaced every 6 months.

Nice one. Happy for ya. Be sure to post a pic when you got it.

Cant see it being a hire car with Bi-Xenons and park assist. Will be buying extended warranty anyway.

Nice one Pat, I take it has Front Assist as well? The Xenons and AFS are very good, especially combined with the full beam assist on the Elegance spec.

Don't know about Front Assist. They were just trying to find me a 1.6 DGi Elegance at a price I was willing to pay. The demonstrator they had they wouldnt budge on the price on and I thought it too high. This one was £900 cheaper than the Elegance demonstrator with no upgrades at all that they had with 6000 miles on it. Weird.

The one I am getting may have other upgardes as well as Bi-Xenons and Park Assist (it has upgraded alloys as well) but I will have to wait and see.

When I bought a SAAB 9-5 Aero from SAAB UK sight unseen I was pleasantly suprised when it came with an upgraded sound system that I wasnt expecting.

Thinking about Front Assist. This was standard on Elgance then it wasnt due to supply issues. How likely is a car first registered on 2 September 2013 to have it  Also if it does have Front Assist does it automatically get ACC as well ?

Nope, ACC was a further option. FA was removed Oct 2013, so if your car was built between May and Sept you should have FA.

Thanks Andy. So I think it should have FA since it was registered 1st September but will have to wait until I get it to find out exactly what toys it comes with. Anything else above what I know about will be a nice suprise.

Be nice if it had Canton, Columbus and LED rear lights as well :)

Well I finally got it on Good Friday. No front assist as far as I can tell (cant see a radar cutout in the fron grill). It does have Bi-Xenons and park assist though and nice alloys so I am happy.

Really enjoying it so far. It's suprisingly quick in manual mode ! I was very suprised when I tried it (I hadnt bothered with this on teh test drives I did).
