Octavia VRS Blackline - new skoda badges

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a white Octavia VRS Blackline estate. I follow these forums quite a bit but this is my first post.

I wanted to update the badges to the new version, to save anyone trawling through the various forums, if you have same model as mine the badges you need are:

Rear

Front

To fit I just used a hair dryer to heat it up and then dental floss slowly wrapping it around the badge. It took about 5 mins on each to get it off, just have to be patient. But it does come of in the end and I think its well worth the effort :)

Looks great on the white car.

Done my wheels but not sure about the front and rear for mine.

How hard was it to do the wheels mate? Could you let me know what the part to order is?

Wheels are vey easy. Take wheels off, pop badge out from the inside and put new one on.

Hardest bit it fitting the new one, but a sturdy 'tap' knocks it in!

Give me a mo to find the part number, not on my PC right now.

Here are the part numbers for all the new badges:

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front (CitiGo Front)
5J0 853 621 A AUL - Rear (New Fabia Rear)
5JA 601 151 FOD - Wheels (Mk3 Octavia centre caps)

BTW...Cheaper from your dealer than eBay

Looks great - I have badges on order from CZ along with another forum member so they'll be going on my candy white vRS when they arrive too :) mines not a blackline but I'll have the black wheels by the end of the month too (hopefully).

You've lost me there .......They fit my Neptunes!!

Bought these wheel badges for my Neptunes also. Haven't fitted them yet but they're the right size. Got round to this this morning though:

It's the little things that make the difference. Set of new badges to go on the car; front, rear and wheel caps so far:

I was talking about the cost of the wheel centres cheaper on EBAY than dealer.

Not to step on any toes but there is a correct front badge you can buy and fit the has the alignment points in the right place.

5J0 853 621 A (without the AUL after it) will fit the front of the Octavia 2.

Check eBay AND dealer for best prices.

Here's what I achieved yesterday. Several angles of the front grille. I thought of getting it stripped of chrome and painted gloss black. So glad I didn't.

The new style badge does stick out a little more but I bought a Citigo badge instead of the proper Octavia badge

So you just did the chrome surround with a spray can of plastidip, and then can revert it to standard by peeling it off later if you wanted? Tempted to see if they do a white to match my Candy vRS.. Not sure a matt finish would look good with gloss black wheels and roof.

Yes sir. I spent about an hour splitting the chrome part from the centre slats. Then 4 coats of Plastidip. Quite pleased it's come out matte effect tbh. Matches the centre part more. If I were to do it again I'd give it 8-10 coats of Plastidip. Much more protection against stone chips.
