How long to get an order number

Featured Replies

I have ordered an Octavia 1.4 TSi on 22nd March but haven’t had an order number yet. Is it normal?

I have been quoted 14-17 weeks to delivery. I am running out of patience already  :'(

I think mine took between 1 and 2 weeks. Just ring your dealer and give them a prod

Same here, a week or two certainly no more, mind you 14-17 weeks for delivery on a non vRS, I don't think so, its not really very good when your dealer starts by talking bull****.

If you get too many probs, go & see Nathan at CitySkoda @ Basingstoke, I got mine in 9 weeks, could have been 8 but, I wanted to waited for the 14 plate.

Thanks for the replies. I will give the dealers a call to find out. I don't know whether they waited till 1st of April to process my order.

As I have paid the deposit, not sure about the benefit of speaking to another dealer but 9 weeks delivery is tempting

Hi

Ordered 17 Feb (Race Blue 1.4TSi Elegance DSG estate. Standard except for spare wheel).

The dealer warned me before ordering that the build week would be 10 to12 weeks later, and that with shipping etc I could expect a wait of around 15 weeks in total. Shorter wait for a hatch. All my local dealers quoted exactly the same timescales.

Order number and provisional build week (20) received from dealer 2 days later. His estimate was spot on.

Since then provisional build week has moved closer to week 16. But as its provisional I'll believe it when I see it!

Ordered my 1.4 TSI hatchback 8 weeks ago. Dealer quoted 12 weeks and rang beginning of third week with SLI number. Goes into build this week and should be here in 4 weeks. Nothing to suggest otherwise at the moment.

My 1.4TSI took 12 weeks form order to Delivery / drive away and that included ACC when ACC was causing build delays - now removed.

I ordered my VRS TDI DSG Race Blue Hatch on 11th Jan.  When I had heard nothing at all by 4th March I sent a gentle enquiry by email and this is the reply I got:

"From the information received from Skoda they have stated that due to low production numbers of VRS and high world wide demand the orders will not show on the system with "Code 10 " estimated production week numbers they will go straight to "Code 20" confirmed build week. They are stating the average lead time is still 20 weeks which if all goes to plan that will be the end of May or early June 2014 for your order. I cannot give you any further estimates until your order number becomes a code 20, as soon as that happens I will contact you immediately."

I know there is nothing I can do and it isn't the dealer's fault but I find the total silence a bit disquieting.

jonjc whilst I feel for you, that statement is a vRS specific, the delays are longer for diesels than petrol and estate model even longer still, the OP has enquired about 1.4 TSI.

Good luck with your car, when it gets here.

update from the dealer: provisional build week is assigned (2nd week of May).

Not given an SLI/Order number yet even after repeatedly asking for one. Not impressed!
