Wind noise at 60+ Bugging me!!!

Featured Replies

No, not from but the Octy. I have noticed that especially on motorways at 60+ mph there is considerable wind noise from the front of the car. When driving, it sounds like its coming from the passenger wiper, but when i move (turn on) the wipers the noise continues.

I can't put my finger on it, but it is starting to get on my tits.

Help

Octavias are well known for their wind noise.

Many of the reviews mention this.

Octy II?

If it is, wasn't there a dealer mod to do something about wind noise (though i thought it was generated by the rear quarterlights.....)

Another cultprit are the door mirrors.

And if it's an Octy II, wasn't there something about the std "aero" wipers being a PITA for excess noise? Sure someone on here made them put "normal" wipers on their car.........

Its an Octy I, and i didn't think the swear filter would let me say tits!!

Had similar problem on mine but from the drivers side and it's into the local dealer tomorrow to have a piece of plastic stuck back down again. Fingers crossed it'll fix it.

Have a look at this, it may help.....

Have you had the wind noise since you re aranged the trim ??

Still trying to sort it on Wendys

The wind noise is still there but it has changed (not as frequent, has to be really windy and it gives off a different note/tone). So I'm hoping that all it needs for the trim to be secured (stuck) down and that it'll stop completely.
