Busy day with the SM today (& armrest question)

Featured Replies

After the success of replacing my gear knob earlier this week, before work this morning I put the spare wheel kit and then on returning home I replaced the broken rear wiper arm and cover and finally popped in the rubber mats and the pair of under-seat boxes for the front seats that came courtesy of the Superskoda 20% off deal last weekend.

Having worked the seat boxes out, fitting another set wouldn't be too bad, but it took me a while to realise that I needed to remove the plastic trim on the side of the seat to shift a bit of support metal out of the way.

The only real frustration was finding that one of the seat retaining bolts had been cross threaded during build :-(

Anyway, regards the arm rest - can someone remind me how easy or hard it is to align the top pad? Annoyingly it doesn't quite sit square and I'd like it to. I'm not sure a slightly misaligned armrest would warrant a trip to the dealer so I'll no doubt sort it myself.

IIRC, I'll need to go through the whole "jumbo box removal" pain to get to the bolts, tweak them then refit. Could be a long job for a couple of mm
