FL Headlamp lever issue (non-maxi dot)

Featured Replies

What is the correct position for the beam adjustment lever (Dip headlamp) for UK use ?

Nearside - Up or Down & Offside - Up or Down (Both when the head lamp unit has been removed).

It wouldn't take too long just to whip a lamp out and try it would it? You're only making sure the beam kicks up to the nearside/left side in the uk. :)

As far as I was aware there are only two choices. Flat (for European driving) or with the 'flick' up to the left (UK driving).

I don't think you can switch the direction of the beam just flatten it.

Does that mean both levers should bein the 'Up' position ?

Just shine the dipped headlamps on a wall and note if there is a 'kickup' on the left of each beam pattern.  If there is, then the beam adjustment lever is in the correct UK position.  If not (top of beam flat), remove headlamps and move lever to the alternative position.

I changed mine when I went to France last year and changed them back on my return but I can't remember which lever position relates to the beam set for the UK.
