2nd service today :)

Featured Replies

My vRS had its second service today. Still as tight as when I picked it up 2 years ago - nothing broken, nothing worn and no advisories :);

Oil, oil filter and pollen filter changed as part of 20000 mile schedule.

Would have cost £197 inc. labour, but thanks to my maintenance contract I didn't have to pay anything.

Got them to swap the wiper blades too as they hadn't been done before and were starting to smear, which came to £25 for the set.

I asked them to provide the change log for the ecu updates, but apparently they're weren't any available and they only do them if you say it's ok to apply them!

I did get a nice detailed list on what they had checked though, not sure if this is what they do now, but it's nice to know how thorough it is.  Battery is still pretty much mint too, which I wasn't expecting as I sometimes leave my dash cams plugged in when left in dodgey places.

The whole experience was very slick though and didn't get any bother about my new RARB either. Got a lift to a from work, first in a Citigo (not convinced on these) and then in a facelift superb (not a v6 unfortunately lol).

Reception staff were very friendly, polite and helpful too.

Big up Wings of Peterborough! :thumbup:
