Looking for a yeti

Featured Replies

Finally started looking for one.

I'm a little confused, about the model names though.  I've seen the words "Adventure", "Urban" and "Outdoor". What's the difference please?

The main ones used in the UK are Urban & Outdoor.

Urban is the 2wd 'City' version

Outdoor is the 4wd 'Offroad' version

Adventure - am sure somoen will be along shortly to expand this one.

Outdoor can be 2wd or 4wd models

Outdoor models can either be 2wd or 4wd

Edit. Double post oops.

Ok, clear as fog.  Disregarding the transmission, any other differences?

A triumph of marketing as per usual.

Depends if your looking for the original 'classic Yeti or the new FL.

The original had only one variant in six levels of trim; E, S, SE, SE Plus, Elegance and L&K in a mixture of 2wd and 4x4 in both petrol and deisel.

On top of this were two special additions the Urban in 2wd petrol or diesel and the Adventure in diesel with 2wd or 4x4.

With the new Yeti you now have two variants the Yeti (sometimes referred to as the City) and the Outdoor but only the latter gives you a 4x4 option. Trim levels have been reduced to S, SE, Elegance and L&K but I understand a new SE Business Edition is being introduced similar to the SE Plus trim.

If your looking for used I've noted some of the pre facelift models can be had for a good saving if you are prepared to shop around and travel; for example I noted the Lincoln dealers has twelve to choose from including my old Yeti.

Thanks TP. I wish I'd posted last week, I've been in Beverley all weekend.

I noticed all the Yetii at Lincoln yesterday.

They even have one in that duracell battery colour.

I also noticed one at a trader for £8995,the cheapest I've ever seen.

(1.2 TSI S,50,000 miles.)

I've been in Beverley all weekend.

Stop boasting.

Sorry, just couldn't resist.
