Starting Issues with Skoda Fabia 2002 model

Featured Replies

I recently got my Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v(Gasoline engine),it has be parked for quite sometime...it is not starting at all. Diagnostic check was done & everything is fine..but it still would not start. The mechanic said the spark from the coil pack is not strong enough to start the engine,i replaced 1 coil pack & the spark still looks weak.. Can someone please help.

Get the mechanic to have a re-think perhaps ?

As you know you need spark and fuel as basics, check a lead/ or plug for spark..

Have you put fresh petrol (gasoline) in it. Old fuel goes stale with age and makes starting difficult.

If its sparking then it should at least attempt to run.

Have you checked the plugs for dampness? If the fuel is getting to the cylinders and not being burnt then the plugs should show signs of dampness at the electrodes.
