Just joined the site as I have recently purchased a 2010 Superb Combi DSG170 Elegance with only 23,000 on the clock.

 

I have few issues (droning noise at 65-70mpg & rattling heat shield I think) that I need to reseach & sort but other than that I am well impresssed.

 

I came from a manual 2003 Audi A6 1.9TDi SE130 Avant. 165,000 miles & no major issues (avg 56mpg with DTUK box) but I needed an auto for my dodgy left knee. I have kept the Audi which has been delegated to my wife & she has donated her corsa to my daughter as her 1st car.

Welcome to Briskoda, Colin170CR. The droning noise could be down to the make or pattern of tyre fitted, or it may be due to sawtoothing of the rear tyres. The latter is a problem which some Octavia IIs in particular suffer from and can be cured by having a full 4 wheel alignment carried out. The thread below is one of many on this subject.
