Picking up my citigo tomorrow - anything to check!

Featured Replies

Hello all!!

I'm new to this, but I'm picking up my new elegance greentech 75 3dr model in white tomorrow morning. It's my first new at too! Wondered if anyone has any recommendations on what I should ask before I drive off? Has anyone struggled with specific things and wish they'd asked before they took it home?

I'd appreciate any advice, and look forward to contributing to this forum when I've got used to it :)

Welcome to Briskoda :)

and welcome to the Citigo, you'll have a great time driving it about :D

Be Warned, this place, if you spend too much time here, will seriously damage your bank account.... :giggle:

Just give the car a good walk around check, no damage, make sure any extras you'd ask for are there.

bring it for a drive to make sure everything feels as it should, no funny noises, braking straight and true, etc

quite a few cars do get bumped / knocked in transit, so just make sure you are happy that it is as you requested before you sign for it.

nd of course, once you do sign for it and drive it home, enjoy that new car smell before it fades :)

Brilliant thanks!

Only ordered it last week - they'd just had it delivered as a showroom car, but managed to nab it as it was exactly what I wanted, and can pick it up a week later, too!

I'll make sure to check for dents particularly, think I'll want him to go over the PID system too - looks like it could get a bit confusing!

We didnt get the PID with the missus's as it was an ex demo / pre registered car. So while its not shiny new out of the box,

its as good as - the garage were using it as their courtesy car for services too, so it was just nicely broken in at 5000mls when we picked it up.

Its fantastic fun to nip about in :D

check what type of gear box is in it - ie does it have a push down reverse, or ordinary type,

there seems to have been a revision lately, possibly to help with the clutch click issue

(just a noise, nothing serious, other than annoying if you get it)
