Well I have a Octavia RS pushing 225BHP plus a K&N kit so maybe 226 BHP now, But I ant happy I now want to take out the catalytic to get the extra BHP within the engine but I went in today to get it done and then released that the lament sensor is in through the top of the cat :eek: IS THERE AWAY AROUND THIS?

Lambda sensor is it? I know Jon decatted a vRS octy for a while - wonder how he got around it?

You can get plugs that kep sending a signal to the ECU tricking it into thinking its still working.

I think he just got a complete new exhaust system, not just put the cat back in. He's on here as TaviaRS, although he's since sold that car and got a diesel.

just get a decat pipe made up and plumb the sensors back into it. They wont work properly of course but your car will sound great and go faster

well hows things the answer to your question is the CO2 gasses would be very high so the cat would have to go back in to pass the NCT but the reson why i am doing it is because i have entered the RS into limerick racecourse in the 13th its a big event held by Sleex FX every year.

Well you say that it wont work properly what is the disadvantages to it is it just a light on the dash or what also is that your Octavia on the picture

You will get a CEL light on the dash however I believe that it's due to the lambda sensor...second one of the two I think.... detecting that there is no cat there.

You used to be able to remap the light out but apparently it's not working now....EddyH had a possible solution for the sensor.

So what is the over all view on edcating is it worth it?

More torque, more noise, flames, better spool up on turbo, more power.

More noise, flames, CEL comes up all the time, running problems (sometimes), MOT problems, road side checks by the boys in blue.
