Just ordered a new Octavia and got a decent deal on the roof bars – the dealer couldn’t confirm who manufactures these, he thought it might be Thule – is this correct? I’m trying to find a compatible bike mount, was offered the one through Skoda but prefer the type which require front wheel removal. If anyone could advise who the bar manufacturer is that would be great, would help me source a compatible bike mount.

I have genuine Skoda cross bars for my estate, there is nothing on them or on the box to indicate who manufactures them. They have the T-groove in them which most decent carriers will be compatible with. I have an Atera roof box which fits like a glove.

I have to say the Skoda bars are dead easy to fit as well.
