Hi posted a thread the other day about anyone knowing where a rolling road was near Ellesmere Port. Anyway I ended up going to belmuir garage in Wrexham ,but he couldn't do it because my car has dsg gear box,he said I wouldn't be able to get a true reading. So he told me to go to zi motoring on the Wrexham industrial estate,and they couldn't do it. Does anyone have an idea how much bhp and torque my 2012 octavia blackline diesel would of gained from a superchip bluefin. Regards John.

Stick it into manual box mode.

And do the run in 4th

Getting an accurate figure from any auto is very difficult, even JKM in Portsmouth struggled. The problem you have is that the box will have a tendancy to change down if you go anywhere near full throttle, and it may change up to early before it reaches max RPM (DSG will do this even in manual mode). Either of these scenarios will mess with the RR figures and produce an incorrect result. Its a balancing act on the throttle pedal to get just the right amount of travel to avoid the change down.

They said it wasn't letting them do it,they said if it was the year below they could of done it,there was to much technology stopping them from doing it. I've no idea don't know much about cars.

I'm sure there'll be a few dsg boxes on the rolling road at Awsome gti this Saturday . My mate will have his dsg vrs on the rollers for sure?

It can depend on the particular gearbox and programming.

Some DSGs will allow full throttle in manual without a kickdown and some will kickdown regardless of manual mode being selected.

I went to a briskoda rr day up in edinburgh.

At least 4 fabia vrs dsg's ran. Making pretty much bang on bhp. So it is definately possible

I think that was the problem it just kept kicking down,I do t think I'll ever know.

30 miles too far ? Your engine will barely be up to full temp when you get there lol!
