Interior & door lights

Featured Replies

Hello,

On my old 2005 Octavia Classic, the red door lights in both front doors would come on when opening  & when I locked the car the interior light would stay on for 20 - 30 seconds.

On my 2nd hand one year old mk3 Octavia 1.6 TDI SE DSG the door lights do not come on & the interior lights go off as soon as the car is locked.

Is this by default and is there any setting I can change?

Thank you.

Not sure the SE spec has door lights, think they might just be reflectors. The Elegance does however.

You'll also find the courtesy light default behaviour is to stay on for 30 secs or so after a door is closed but they will fade out and turn off upon locking the car (the assumption being youve locked the car so no longer need to see inside it).

VAG cars have been like this for a number of years now.
