Hi all, unfortuanetly i've been a little bit stupid and in a rush and a squeeze managed to push the left hand side skirt of my monte carlo in on a wooden bollard. The side skrit no longer has a straight edge and definately needs replaced. I was wondering if anyone has bought the side skirts or even the extra body parts that are on the monte carlo over the stock fabia. I have looked for breakers and enquired about one, but the left hand skirt was damaged. Any help would be appreciated thanks, Aidan.

Brand new the skirts are priced at stupid money. You're best off waiting for one to be broken with an intact nearside (left) skirt.

On the bright side, all Monte skirts are the same colour. So not slim pickings in that area. :)

Guess it's just a waiting game then! How much is stupid money? I'm expecting a breakers one to hopefully be around £100-£200, guessing a direct skoda replacement would be triple this?

I'd never pay that for one side skirt. Depends how keen the breaker is to sell it as a whole set, I suppose.

What kind of price do you think I should be looking it for just the one skirt then?

Have you looked at Hills Motors they are breaking a Red 2011.

Has anyone actually got a price for a replacement part ordered from a Skoda Dealers parts desk,?

Helps us to know just how much 'silly money' we are actually  talking about.

That is what happens when Manufacturers add Cosmetic Enhancements to Tart up cars to appeal as Sporty.

When they get bashed you have to purchase over priced trim rather than a new panel.

just prepare and paint & attach.

Trim that they charge more than the panels it fits to is a rip off.

Different if the Trim is practical and protects and affordable when requiring replacement.

That is not the Skoda way though.
