2011 Octavia hatch Rear suspension Uprate help?

Featured Replies

Hi I tow a caravan with my L & K 2.0 diesel. I want to uprate the rear springs to help when towing. I have fitted rubber doughnuts which have helped a little but wondered if anyone can suggest any uprated rear springs/ shockers that won't affect the handling and won't alter the solo ride too much. I appreciate that uprating will give a firmer ride when solo but hopefully not too much.

Cheers

heavy duty shocks all round such as bilstein b6s

Changing the rear dampers won't make any difference to the ride height - if that's what the OP wanted?

Thanks for the responses. What I am after is that when the caravan is hooked up to the car I want to prevent the rear of the car from sagging too much,  without, if possible making the solo ride too hard.

Yep I want my cake and eat it too :-)

Cheers

You'll only achieve that with stiffer/more progressive springs. Dampers do nothing to ride height.
