Bigger non-Skoda mud flaps

Featured Replies

There have been many complaints about the standard mud flaps being inadequate, and various members have made their own extended versions, but now a company has obviously listened and produced a (possibly) suitable replacement:

I have checked and they sat they use the standard Skoda mountings.

Wonder if they fit the rear F/L model? They do look good

The main problem to me is the vulnerability to being 'pinched' between curb and tyre and ripped off when parallel parking.

I wouldn't want to reverse up a kerb with those on.

I suspect that the angle the photo is taken at makes it look like they are closer to the floor than they actually are.

The advert says that it includes years 2013 and 2014 so they should be OK for FL.

Years ago I watched a guy in a Triumph 2000 reverse up over a kerb - ripping both rear mud flaps off when they were trapped between wheels and kerb.

Ahhh yes, he probably scrapped the 2000 and kept the mudflaps.

I think they just made the assumption that it will fit all models as we all know that 2013 rear mudflaps do not fit 2014 models.

I have sent them an email on Thursday asking the question and explain that there is a physical difference between 2013 and 2014 models. No reply yet.

I emailed them on Wednesday and Thursday about the FL compatibility.  Still no response.  Not impressed :wall:

I've just ordered a set, so will see how I get on....thanks for the link.

That is amazing value for a set of FOUR for £27. I'd love to see a pic of what the rear ones look like... BUT the rear ones don't cause much of a problem being useless. It's the front ones that sent muck up the side of most the car.

I'll await the fitment of these by someone on here (muddyboots I suspect) with interest.  Pictures of the before and after please from the same angle so we can get a good idea of the difference please.

UKCarMats are aiming to check the rear mudflaps on the facelift model this week.

I'll get plenty of photos when I fit them. Might be a few days though, got a garage to finish kitting out first!

Seen a post elsewhere a pre F/L owner has these fitted and ground clearance on front ones is 4"

Have now fitted these flaps to front of FL Yeti.  Ground clearance is 10cm.  Front fitting was a doddle with wheels on full lock to get them out of the way.  Rears will need the tyres off as it's a job to hold the fairly stiff plastic in place and screw it in otherwise.  Pics attached....

Did you fit the rears as well? If so could we have a photo of those please. Thanks

Nope.  Bit of a ****-up meant I received the pre-FL set in error.  FL rears are being sent.  Will post pics in due course.

Thanks. look forward to the photos of the rear FL ones fitted

Received mine end of last week, not had a chance to fit yet though...

It's fine and well seeing photos of these on a car... I already have a set of Škoda flaps so I only want to see the relative difference of the front ones to these flaps. So whoever does a replacement of the OE ones please take pics to show the DIFFERENCES between the two. So how much wider they are and how much lower they go. Thanks.

I don't have any fitted at the moment, so won't be able to offer a comparison unfortunately.
