Year 4 Service Items Tsi Scout

Featured Replies

Hi all !

Does anyone know what the service items are for my 4th Service ? Its done 22300 miles

4 year service is £225

Brake fluid change is due  £45

Haldex oil is due £59

Should the Pollen Filter and plugs be changed as part of this service ?

Cheers !

My 2008 TFSI vrs had its spark plugs & pollen filter replaced at the 4 th year service along with the air filter.

Cheers :-)

Get the standard service, brake fluid and haldex.

If you want a new pollen and air filter, just buy them alongside and fit yourself, otherwise they will not be done and thats about all you 'get' for the other £100 the service costs.

Mmmm.... Well they better do the air and pollen filter. It's easy enough to check !!  Well the air filter anyway...

I think sometimes you just have to accept that a garage is doing the right thing and not ripping you off.

I suppose I could check the SG of the brake fluid but how could I know if they have changed the Haldex Oil ?

The pollen filter is very easy to change. Youll be surprised how much dedris they collect.

The OEM's are Mann or Valeo. Got a Mann filter delivered for £6.67 from ECP.

Skoda wanted £42 to fit one at the last service.

well my book (for an '09) says @60k K "only"   so I make that 37.5K imperial so if yours' is the same, you have time yet  --seems you do similar mileage to mine --changed my g/box oil last backend and it was dark and burnt smelling--  just a thought   cheers  Nic H  :-)
